Today, there was news that Belarusian passports can only be renewed within Belarus itself. This just goes to show that all these permanent residence permits and temporary residence permits can’t replace a regular passport. It also means you really have to think twice before holding onto dual citizenship. Sitting on two chairs is tough. So people can be in a trap of own country very easily, and modern European institutions are not adequately prepared to handle new cases and new deviations.
