I wear shoes that I fix from time to time. They are indestructible. But after the Portuguese climbs and a downpour the day before yesterday, one of the boots couldn’t take the strain and the sole fell off. I avoided using scotch tape, just peeled off the rest of the sole all the way.
What did I want to say? This week I proposed getting married, went to Portugal, talked to interesting people, saw a lot of beautiful things. But the most amazing thing happened was that the sole on my shoe fell off and I thought it would never happen.
